YOUR FIRST BRIDAL SHOW?

A little preparation goes a long way.

A bridal show is an experience in itself. You’ll walk into a room filled with florals, music, tastings, fashion, venues, photographers and wedding professionals ready to introduce you to what they do. It can be exciting, inspiring—and, especially at your first show, a little overwhelming.

With a background in hospitality, events and guest experience, I’ve spent years thinking about how people move through and experience large events. My advice? Don’t try to plan your entire wedding in one afternoon. Use the show for discovery.

ARRIVE WITH A FEW PRIORITIES.
Know the two or three vendor categories you'd most like to explore. You can absolutely wander, but having a few priorities keeps the day from becoming one long blur of brochures.

TAKE PHOTOS & NOTES.
If something catches your eye, photograph it and note the vendor. By the end of the afternoon, you may have spoken with dozens of wedding professionals.

MAKE CONNECTIONS—THEN FOLLOW UP.
You don't have to make every decision on the show floor. If you connect with a vendor, schedule time afterward for a more thoughtful conversation when you aren't surrounded by hundreds of people, music and activity.

That’s exactly why RBW schedules consultations for after the show. Our booth is where we can meet, explore the work and talk briefly about your wedding. Scheduling a dedicated consultation for the days or weeks ahead gives us the time and space gives us the time and space to discuss your vision, stationery timeline, design direction and guest experience without competing with everything happening around us.

EXPERIENCE THE DETAILS.
Taste the cake. Touch the paper. Look closely at the florals. Ask questions. Bridal shows give you an opportunity to experience things in person that you've probably spent months seeing only on a screen.
